The Truth About Cats and Dogs in Black and White

Truth is just one person's reality. Here is mine in black and white (maybe some shades of gray). This blog has little to do with Cats or Dogs - just humourous sarcastic antics about my life or occasionally, someone else's. You know, intercepting volleyballs with my face, egg dropping, etc. The truth has seen some changes and in fluidity with change expect to see more artistic expressions posting up - so give your two cents worth!

The Best of Times, The Worst of Times

I'm a bit late but that's ok. It's still January right? Although I may already have some best and worsts for 2007. This might hurt my brain as I have trouble remember what I did this morning alone the past year.

Best Moment of the Year

Running into an old friend on Georgestreet. I guess Georgestreet can change your life. Honourable Mentions: my Seashell and her baby Seashell finally making it to Newfoundland and the kiddos visit home.

Worst Moment of the Year

How about the source of worst moments...horribly not nice people. Why am I such an easy target? And...the mouse incident.

Best Film of the Year

Little Miss Sunshine - F-ing hilarious.
The Island of Dr. Morrow. HG Wells = Genius.
Honourable Mentions: Superman Returns, X-Men the Last Stand.

Worst Film of the Year

V for Vendetta - what the hell was that? and that's the last time Denise gets to pick the movie! And Click - horribly disappointing.

Best Song of the Year

The revival of "Rebel Yell" and "Float On" - Modest Mouse.

Worst Song of the Year

"Fergilicious" - it's just cruel that someone is making oodles of money off such crappy lyrics. Oh and I really have to go with Hungarian Dance No. 5 here. Down with Brahms.

Best Web Discovery of the Year

Google Gadgets Sidebar, Friday Random 10, and blog things.

Best Online Purchase of the Year

Obviously, the BCBG Maxazaria dress. Followed by the earth rug.

Best TV Show of the Year

Lost is still number one. Followed by Grey's. And this awesome fly under the radar pick - Psych.

Worst TV Show of the Year

I don't watch bad shows. That's just a waste of my precious time.

Best Military Road Party of the Year

Toss up between the Hat Party and Halloween, I might be leaning towards hat.

Worst Military Road Party of the Year

I don't think I was there, cause if I was, it obviously couldn't have been that bad.

Best Dessert of the Year

Key Lime Pie...oh yeah.

Best Wine of the Year

Masi Valpolicella

Worst Wine of the Year

Le Polane Valpolicella

Best Pharmaceutical Discovery of the Year

L-Lysine

My Favourite Key Words

Its time again for "my favourite key words" Yes that's right, the time I post the randomness that brings people to my blog. For some (according to the key words) this discovery must be rather disappointing, devastating even. Some of these people really have no clue how to do an internet search, while some innocently got mislead by the random key word search. And I really think we should consider changing Rottweiler to Rot Wailer, once and for all so I don't have to poke fun every time I do one of these posts. The good news is, far less people care what happened in 1976. And 4 people were clearly actually looking for my blog.

Anyway, my personal favourites (with commentary) are...

  • 13 number cheerios (someone please tell me what they were looking for!)
  • 1. open your music player (itunes, winamp, media player, etc). 2. put it on shuffle. 3. press play. 4. for every question type the (really who types all that into a keyword search )
  • widelife extinction (chuckle chuckle)

Other mentions...some honourable, some not...

  • "5 11 148 lbs"
  • "barefoot hike"
  • 2008 olympic symbol cat
  • bob marley parents - white or black??
  • cats and dogs that dance and mouse
  • curling newfoundland.ca
  • damien rice 9 crimes strumming patterndifferences between cats and dogs
  • list of america's greatest philantropists(2006)
  • media player skin gipsy kings
  • na na na nananana canadian olympics theme
  • play dogs and cats that breathes and sleep
  • reincarnation of sidharta
  • rot wailer dog (x 2)
  • school "black and white"
  • scrapbook turning 30
  • the minister black vail
  • what is kissing the screech mean?
  • do dogs see in black and white? (x 2)
  • why do cats and dogs see in black and white (x 3)

Tickets going FAST!

Rocky Mountain Christmas

Still waiting for the folks/babysitters. They have been stuck in T.O. since Wednesday which means we have been stuck at home most of the week. Why the stuckyness? Denver got smacked hard by the 7th largest storm in Colorado history. The airport was closed for like 2 days, cancelling over 1400 flights. 4 feet of snow fell in some parts...thats 106cm! Anyway, they are re-scheduled to arrive tomorrow... fingers crossed.
