A Million and One

I am now down to 6 weeks to finish my thesis. So far so okay. I also have a wedding this Friday (not mine obviously). Little Peter's. And I am hosting a two-year old's birthday party (also not mine obviously - the child or party). So I may not be as astute in my posting as usual.

It will be ok Laurie...I'm still here to comment. Posting just takes so much energy. Ok well not "energy" persay.

Today's Beef:

My supervisor correcting my vocab choice. I have so many pet peeves why aggravate them during the most stressful of times. So I used the word "multifarious" instead of "several." I do believe that is my choice, and not my fault that someone's limited vocab impedes his understanding of my writing.

Also, if you don't understand...don't make suggestions on how to fix it.

I know I know, not everyone can be as obviously brilliant as me.

It's your thesis so use the words you want to use. Not the limited vocab of a certain somebody else.

And could this word verification be any longer? 8 letters!

Thats what bugs me about Grad programs. The whole point is to prove your worth to a bunch of snobby academics that you belong in their "club". There are some clubs that are not worth belonging too in my humble opinion.

As I see it, they can have their bastion of academic superiority, they wouldn't last 30 seconds out on the perimeter with Big Mountain.
