Truth is just one person's reality. Here is mine in black and white (maybe some shades of gray). This blog has little to do with Cats or Dogs - just humourous sarcastic antics about my life or occasionally, someone else's. You know, intercepting volleyballs with my face, egg dropping, etc. The truth has seen some changes and in fluidity with change expect to see more artistic expressions posting up - so give your two cents worth!

I officially hate HTML and CSS


Someone please tell me how to get rid of the underlining on all the links, I can not find anything in my coding that looks remotely like "border-bottom" or "underlining" for links. Bloody hell! This refurbishment took me all day...literally. First it was getting pictures to fit in the side bar (expect a new one each week), then it was fonts and colours, and stupid lines, and images, and oh that nasty little bit of comment coding, grrrrr. Very artistic photo, n'est pas? Notice the J.I.L. (what a geek).

you should apologise. i am obviously a genius and a little side distraction that a, practices grammar, b. exercises my all important finger muscles, and c. well i would normally say stress release but the coding part had me nice and frazzled today.

Furthermore, I have decided to express more artistic endeavours through my blogging - look forward to photography, poetry, and maybe a little fiction.

YOU ARE MY HERO! (and how sad is that) I tried the whole "text-decoration: none" thing a million times but sure...it works for you...

I would be ashamed to show my code to a web planner. it now has "text-decoration: none" in every possible place.

Sad does not begin to cut it, you need to raise the bar a few thousand notches :-)

I was bored so I looked at your source code. There are a few different solutions that I can see probably working very well for you. However, it is all a matter of style. I'll leave it in your capable hands to make pretty.

Your code is good BTW, nice L&F.

Looks good and very impressive that you did it all in raw HTML. I think that the problem earlier may have been an unclosed embed tag for the clock, I say think because most of the time it is pot luck and trial and error with me and HTML. I use a HTML editor wherever possible and only view the HTML when I have to because, as you have found out, you can spend ages playing around with the code trying to track down problems.

Did you get rid of the underline? It doesn't seem to be there now, except the dashed one.

BM..I should say thank you...I say say anyone has complemented me on my code before. Look and feel, of course. I think we should petition acronyms.

Anon...ah...we all know who you are...the lines are gone. I like the dashed one on the hover. With the mediochre contrast on the left sidebar the black hover with dashed line seemed to balance it all out...

Oh wait...I didn't teachnically do it from scratch or anything...I found a new template...free of course, although I have figured out how to rip the html codes from any webpage (not that I would need to). Anyway I kept what I liked from the old one and adjusted stuff and TAA DAA!
