The Joker's bullet brought her high flying career as batgirl to an end but despite paralysis, she has accomplished more as a wheelchair-bound crime fighter than she could ever have as batgirl. In her time as batgirl, she served the U.S. Congress, and after her near fatal run-in with the joker she packaged her skills as an information retreival expert under the name Oracle. Combined with her super-hacking skills, possess a photographic memory and hand-to-hand combat, she became known as a legend in the superhero world and recruited heros to act on her data - the birds of prey.
