MAY DAY! MAY DAY!

Holy crap! I just realised that it's May. Already! How did this happen? Well folks t minus 29 days and counting. And what the hell is beeping in my house? So, May is indeed the craziest of all months. The kids still have a week here, then my best friend comes, then there is Jill day and Jill day observed, Mother's day, May 2-4, so far one job interview, and two pending being screened in, a presentation, a government report, and the thesis (see t minus 29 days) and old friends returning to the rock, and all my other usual daily distractions...ARGH...that May. Alas, there are not enough days in May. Hmmm...it will soon be time for a distress call, me thinks. MAY DAY! MAY DAY!

Now, Jilly Day...Thats a very different emegency call, thats what we call in the biz an Emergency Action Message. I'll designate this one "RADIANT SUNRISE".

AT the afore mentioned code word being broadcast, all available units shall pass GO and proceed directly to Jilly with gifts of Gatorade, Tylenol and 2 shots of vodka.

"RADIANT SUNRISE"...we have a Jilly down!!

Its a similar response to the "SHATTERED DREAMS" Big Mountain down EAM, except I require Tylenol, hot chocolate and a Wendy's spicey chicken combo.

Good emergency names. You types are good at that. And tylenol, hot chocolate and Wendy's? Sounds like a combination to make my insides go to the outside if you know what I mean.

The cure is done in stages, observe:

1)Time: Crack of Noon-wake up, still drunk, cold water + Tylenol + more sleep.

2)Time:4pm - more Tylenol, get out of bed. Make sure you are sober enough to work the stove. If YES then make hot chocolate, drink and wait an hour to see if anything "interesting" happens. If NO repeat stage 1 and return to bed. Repeat as needed.

Special note ** you are allowed 1 emegency puke.

Stage 3: Time - after 6pm - now sober and hungry, destination Wendy's. Return to couch for TV, food and naps as needed.

Makes sense. I've never been drunk enough to warrent the Tylenol (although I do avoid taking it at all costs as Tylenol has in fact made me puke in the past). I do participate in step 1 - sleep. And my food of choice is usually McDonald's double cheeseburger with fries...or greasy breakfast sandwiches (Irving is good for that).

I find that an immediate post drunk burger alleviates the next day pain.

Don't wait till morning for the advil. Take two and a full glass of water prior to passing out if you can... it's a godsend.
