Stupid Canadian Idol

Do Canadians know anything about music? talent? style? Clearly not. I am beyond disappointed that my fav idol is headed home to Winnipeg. And what a great music scene there must be in Winnipeg. And that's really all I have to say about that. Keith, make sure St. John's is on that Cross-Canada tour.

Defn of patriotism: love or devotion to one'e country.

The right people simply didn't get through. Nancy and Keith were unique talents who just didn't appeal to the Television audience as much as some of the other younger pop glam contestants. I don't believe like Jake said that we should blindly support our "own." Its about music.

Craig does have a technically brilliant voice, no doubt that he belongs in the top ten. And of course there is generally lot of talent of this here Island of ours but there is so much to be discovered across Canada. I seem to be coming across really talented people from Winnipeg lately, especially musicians.

Lets face it though. If you are an idol contest who is older than 22, francophone, unattractive, your chances are greater reduced. Being females is also slightly a downer as just think about all those young girls clammering to get their vote in for their favourite heartthrob.

Let's give a shout out to all those late twenty-somethings who keep rockin' out (or thirty, stupid rules).

Keith rocks. Oh my god what am I? 12? I have a crush. Wait it's supposed to be a secret.

Nancy was awesome should not have been eliminated over Katie (I think that was her name) as she was not that good on Monday. And Keith was eliminated over Brandon! What the hell. Brandon sucked. He's probally getting some spill over votes because he was born in Newfoundland. I'm tired of these shows with all their teenie bopper Kelly Clarkson wannabes. Name another idol that's had any success. It's become a popularity contest and not about who actually deserves to win. And the guys on Rockstar are much hotter imo.

Sorry Jilly. I think the performances last night proved that the right people are in the top ten and Keith didn't belong there. He is REALLY annoying.

You have got to be kidding.

Ava was the only one who would have been worth seeing in concert. She was beyond fabulous.

Craig has unbelievable vocals, Chad was good - good song choice of course, Ashley rocked out. But overall the vocals were weak and pitchy. Sarah could do better, she has one of the strongest voices by far.

Have you even heard Keith's band? He would have had no problem backed by a full band. He would have shone. His album is really awesome, if you like indie music and have good taste of course.
